Professor of Abai University at the Integration Forum

On November 25-27, the "Integration Forum on the Preservation of the Cultural and Historical Heritage of Libraries, Archives, and Museums" was held at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library in Saint Petersburg.

The forum was organized with the support of the International Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of the CIS Member States, the Presidential Library, the Library Assembly of Eurasia, the Russian Library Association, and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The program of the forum included the scientific and practical conference "Evacuation during the Great Patriotic War: Preserving Memory in the Digital Space of the CIS", the round table "The Russian Language in the CIS Space", and the round table "CIS Libraries Towards the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory."

Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Damina Disingaleevna Shaibakova, was invited to take part in the forum.

She delivered two presentations. At the plenary session of the conference, she presented the report "The Apple Orchard Shelter: Figures of Literature and Art in Evacuation in Almaty." At the round table "The Russian Language in the CIS Space," Dr. Shaibakova spoke on the topic "Kazakh Symbols in the Russian-Language Literature of Kazakhstan."

Both presentations attracted considerable interest from the audience.
