Honors college students awarded a certificate for additional training

On May 26, 2023, a 3-day class divided into 16 hours was held for Honors college students of our university. During the class, the students received media literacy training. Speaker Baktygul Burbaeva talked about the challenges of the information age and critical perception of information, how to distinguish fakes from dipfakes, the significant stages of fact-checking, and the importance of media ethics. At the end of the training, Honors college students were awarded a certificate of additional training in the special subject Media and Information Literacy. Future teachers can teach as an elective course on media literacy with a special certificate.
