Meeting with the founder of the brand "YANG LAIN" Adilya Botabayeva

A meeting was held with Adilya Botabayeva, designer, modeller, founder of the first transformer brand in Kazakhstan "YANG LAIN", a regular participant of the National Fashion Week Kazakhstan Fashion Week.

The meeting, held within the framework of the theme" conscious fashion", was organized by the Department of Education, Social Work and youth policy.

According to Adilya Botabaeva, who has been interested in clothing design since the age of 16, developing herself along the way, gaining foreign experience and admiring the people with her innovative views, she was passionate about the world of fashion since childhood.

"I had an interest in the field of art, and I had a knack. I graduated from several art schools. In my free time I was engaged in drawing. I planned to become either an architect or an artist. However, then I began to like sewing clothes. In addition to sewing clothes, I drew attention to the profession that accompanies painting. That is, this is a fashion designer. My parents supported me, sent me to study abroad. In eight years, I improved myself and studied in Malaysia. In addition, I completed a master`s degree in Italy. My return to Kazakhstan coincided with a pandemic. Having heard about the competition "New Generation Open Way 2020", which is organized annually by Kazakhstan Fashion Week, I decided to take part. I won the audience love Award. From then on, my career in Kazakhstan began," says the fashion designer.

Today the designer is a participant in the Fashion Week London Fashion Week, Singapore Fashion Week, Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week. Included in the list of the top 50 Malaysian designers, plus the top ten innovative designers from Adidas x Woolmark.

During the meeting, she shared her thoughts on how the fashion industry in Kazakhstan works, how to find your place in it, how to open your own business in the fashion world. And the students were asked questions related to the world of fashion, and they were answered with sincere answers. After the meeting, the participants shared their impressions.
