Poetic duel

November 8, 2017, with the aim of promoting poetic art among youth and supporting young poets, the Committee on Youth Affairs and Literary and Cultural Club "Zhas Kalam" organized a city poetic duel "Zhurekter zhyrlasyn" , 26 young poets from 5 leading universities of Almaty c took part in the competition of poets.

In the poetic duel, consisting of three stages, young poets demonstrated their poems and songs dedicated to the country`s Independence.

The jury chaired by the chairman of the youth public association "Zhezbuyda", poet Talapbek Tynysbekuly rightly appreciated the art of young poets and in the result, the 1st place was awarded to young poets of our university Aidana Kaisarbek and Roza Tazhibayeva, 2nd place to the student of the Kazakh State Women`s Teacher Training University Akgul Aidarbek, and the Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to the student of al-Farabi KazNU Marlen Gilymkhan.

The poetic competition dedicated to the opening of the "Students week - 2017", gave young poets inspiration and the opportunity to be recognized in the literary environment.
