A Literary and Poetic Evening: «Khan Qyzindai Khanbibi»

On December 9, 2024, the National Educational Center «Hakim Abai» and the Young Poets School named after Orazaly Dosbosynov organized a literary and poetic evening titled «Khan Qyzindai Khanbibi».

The event, specially organized for the 75th anniversary of the poet Khanbibi Esenkaraqyzy, who is a recipient of the «Barys» and «Parasat» orders and the International «Alash» Literary Prize, was attended by the university`s Vice-Rector for Social Development Makhsat Zhakau, the Director of the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy Rakhymberdi Zhetibay, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan and the National Academy of Higher Education of Kazakhstan, poet Baurzhan Zhakyp, daughter of the poet Tolegen Aybergenov, Saltanat Aybergenova, and over 100 active university students.

The main goal of the significant meeting was to promote the poet`s work and enhance the interest of youth in the art of word and national spirituality.

During the literary and poetic gathering, active students of our university read the poet`s poems, and the performance of the song «Nurikamal» by Akbota Ghazizbolova added to the festive atmosphere of the evening.

Throughout the evening, the mature poet with a unique voice and melody read various poems written over the years on different topics, sharing stories about her creativity and life. She also answered questions from poetry enthusiasts and shared her insights, while summing up her creative work.

If we say that poets who pour their hearts out in their verses stand out with their unique perspectives on artistic and life phenomena, then Khanbibi Esenkaraqyzy, recognized for her inspired creativity in Kazakh poetry, is distinctive among other poets for this very reason. She has researched the victims of political repression, dedicated several books to this topic, and played a key role in reviving the literary heritage of the Alash figures.

At the end of the event, the university`s Vice-Rector for Social Development Makhsat Zhakau presented flowers and gifts to the honored guest of the evening, Khanbibi Esenkaraqyzy, on behalf of the Chairman of the Board-Rector Bolat Tilep.
