Discussion of the results of the outgoing year

On 30 December, 2019 - in the last days of the outgoing year - a meeting of the Chair of Eastern Philology and Translation was held with the participation of its honorary head, Academician Kniyaz Mirzoev. The event began with a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the crash that occurred on the eve of near Almaty. The meeting was led by the head of the Chair Ergali Yesbossynov. The reports of teachers in all areas of social and scientific activities of the Chair were heard. With particular attention were heard reports of the head of the Chair on the state of affairs on the conduct of production. Professor Aigul Zhumabekova analyzed in detail the state of affairs in science and on scientific publications. According to her, in 2019, teachers of the Chair published 5 scientific articles on the impact factor index, and 12 on the Education and Science Monitoring Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Scientific trips of teachers of Turkish and German languages were noted with great satisfaction. On the proposal of the head of the chair, Ergali Yesbossynov, a republican scientific and practical round table was organized on 6 November, 2019 at the university administration «ҚАЗАҚ ТІЛІНІҢ ЖАҢА ӘЛІПБИІ: Тіл мамандарының ортақ тұжырым», where university rector Takir Balykbaev spoke. These and other works of teachers positively influenced the image of the chair both in the context of the institute and on the scale of the university, as well as information about the lack of scientific publications from two teachers and the reprimand of the director of the institute from one teacher. But, according to the head of the Chair, there was a positive dynamics in the activity of the Chair in all areas of social and scientific activity.
