Profession is a Choice of the Future (Applicant 2021)

On April 23, 2021, Shairiam Baratova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Oriental Languages and Translation of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, hosted the online meeting «Profession is a Choice of the Future» (Applicant-2021). The aim was to advise school leavers on the right choice of profession. Teachers, parents, college graduates and 11th grade students of Uighur language schools of Almaty region attended the event.

The meeting was hosted by Aktilek Ormanova, an employee of the Career Guidance and Admissions Centre of Abai KazNPU; Gulsum Abdrakhmanova, the Head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Syzdykov Serikbol, senior lecturer of the Kazakh language and literature department named after S.S.Kirabayev; Associate Professor Ersayin Moldasanov; Makhamdinov Malik, editor-in-chief of «Izatkar» magazine; senior lecturers of the Oriental languages and translation department R.U. Arziev, G.M. Autova, H.V. Masimova and Sh.B. Baratova.

Applicants were provided with detailed information on the place of Abai KazNPU in the ranking of foreign universities, its current achievements and specialties of the Faculty and Department. A. Ormanova presented the requirements for future students and stressed the importance and significance of studies. H. Masimova provided information on the specialties of the Department of Oriental Languages and Translation, the curriculum and information on the specialties and advanced training at the Uyghur department.

At the end of the event, the participants asked questions and received detailed answers from the specialists.
