A student of Abai KazNPU took 2nd place in a competition among universities in Almaty

In November 2021, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Translation of Oriental Languages of KazUIR & WL named after Abylai Khan and the Confucius Institute at this university, the decisive stage of the competition for the expressive reading of words of edification and other works of Abai in Kazakh and Chinese languages among students studying at the department of Chinese at universities of Almaty took place. Dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 80th anniversary of KazUIR & WL, the competition consisted of two stages, in which students who received the highest marks showed their skills. The event was attended by students of al-Farabi KazNU, Abai KazNPU, KazNWTTU and the International Kazakh-Chinese Language College.

A third-year student of the specialty «Foreign language: two foreign languages» Amankeldi Arna, under the guidance of the senior teacher of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of our university, Asel Almabekova, took second place. On December 13, 2021, the most active participants of the competition and their leaders were awarded letters of gratitude and diplomas on behalf of the rector of the Confucius Institute of KazUIR & WL named after Abylai Khan, as well as memorable gifts.
