Sport is the ambassador for peace

On 7 February, at the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, an educational online hour was held on the topic «Sport is the Ambassador for Peace» with the participation of students of the specialty «Foreign language: two foreign languages» under the guidance of senior teacher Zh.M. Elemesova.

The main goal of this event is to promote a healthy lifestyle and sports among young people. The event was prepared by students and aroused great interest among the participants of the meeting.

Thus, Gulnazym Umirzak spoke about the most interesting facts in sports, Asiya Kosmagambet spoke about special sports that are developing in the modern world. Guldana Baimukhan and Togzhan Aydarova informed the listeners about the types of national sports. Thanks to the speech of Zhuldyz Birliknur and Akzhan Sainova, the participants of the event were able to learn more about the sports stars of our country. Nurkamal Kabden made a presentation «Sport is the guarantee of health», expressing her point of view on this topical topic, and Yelnaz Smailova organized a quiz and held an interesting discussion about sports. The meeting participants were also able to see the volleyball skills of Zulfiya Noman, who took 3rd place at the XI Summer Universiade in volleyball, and found out what kind of sport she is especially attracted to. Other videos were also shown, interesting speeches were prepared on the importance of sports in our lives.

The event was attended by the head of the department, Professor G.Kh.Abdrakhmanova, senior lecturers R.K.Orazova and Sh.B.Baratova, who expressed their opinion on the topic and thanked the students for their active participation in the public life of our university.
