Online meeting with representatives of Hubei University

On April 28, 2022, the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology organized a meeting at the online platform for cooperation and development of joint educational programs between representatives of Abai KazNPU and Hubei University (Wuhan, China). The aim was to create a common framework for academic and cultural exchange between the two countries` universities.

The meeting was attended by Vice Rector for Strategy, Digitalization and Internationalization A.Kulsarieva, Director of the Institute of Philology A.Tanzharykova, Head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation K.Abdrakhmanova, Senior Lecturer S.Toktarbek and staff of the International Cooperation of our university. The Chinese side was represented by JIANG Tao, Vice Rector of Hubei University, LIU Guozhi, Director of International Cooperation Department and seven officials and staff members.

Bilateral academic mobility, development of double degree programmes, student exchanges, the opening of the Chinese centre at Abay University, free courses for students of the Chinese department on the online platform and other issues were discussed. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue joint cooperation and establish closer ties between the universities.
