Excursion to the museums of Almaty

On 18 May, 2022, in honor of the International Museum Day, 1st year students of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology, together with advisor R.K. Orazova visited five museums in Almaty.

In particular, students visited the house-museums of famous Kazakh classic writers G. Musrepov and S. Mukanov, learned a lot from the stories of museum staff about their life and work, got acquainted with books. We looked at the new exhibits collected recently, the film "Amankeldy" in the cinema hall, which was opened specifically for the 120th anniversary of G. Musrepov. Then they visited the House-Museum of one of the great figures of our people, statesman D.A. Kunaev, learned a lot about the family and everyday life of a prominent statesman and public figure who led Kazakhstan for many years.

Students also visited the Central Republican Museum, witnessed a large-scale event, watched a concert in which famous artists took part, got acquainted with new museum exhibits, and watched a fair. Then we went to the Kasteev Museum, looked at many works of art, and this influenced the development of students` ideas in the field of art. From such a fascinating journey, the students were greatly impressed and could not hide their gratitude and admiration. The event held at the end of the academic year was interesting and very useful.
