Features of teaching literature in the context of the updated content of education

On 31 May, 2022, the Department of Eastern Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology held a methodological webinar «Features of teaching literature in the context of the updated content of education», organized by the teacher Nazym N.Konkabayeva, responsible for the educational and methodological association. The speaker was Associate Professor Ruslan U.Arziev. Teachers of the institute and teachers of schools in Almaty took an active part.

The speaker announced the creation of a special commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the subject of «Literature» to select works in accordance with the age of students, genre, period of creation, storyline, taking into account the creative heritage of domestic classics. Ruslan U. Arziev also spoke about the program and textbooks for students of different classes, focusing on the topics studied in each lesson. Then he dwelled on the structure and content of the updated curriculum for the subject «Kazakh literature» of basic and general secondary education, noted the main directions and goals of the Kazakh literature program, the content of subject knowledge of which is divided into sections according to the principle of Bloom`s taxonomy and made a comparative analysis of individual Kazakh and Russian-language school programs.
