Department of Oriental Philology and Translation - holder of the International Scientific Grant

According to the results of the international competition for grant project, that announced in 2021 year on the website of the Turkish Academy of Sciences in the section «Financing of Turkic scientific projects», the project of the senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Dr. Yesbossynov Yergali «The role of lexicographic components in the translation of Mehmet Akif Ersoy`s works (Kazakh translation of Asym`s work from the Safahat collection) - Mehmet Akif Ersoy`un Eserlerini Aktarmada Leksikografik Çalışmaların Rolü (Safahat Künyesinden Asım`ı Kazakҫaya ҫevirme)» received the support of the competition commission and was declared as the winner of the International Science Project. This scientific project is planned for September, October and November of the current year, also it can be extended for another 3 months, depending on the progress, order and scope of work.

The international scientific project is funded by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Turkey, the place of implementation is Kastamonu University, Faculty of Humanitarian sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature - Department of Modern Turkic Languages. From the Turkish side, the supervisor is Dr. Tuba Dalar (Dr. Tuğba DALAR), the technical secretary is Dr. Erkhan Kyulekchi (Dr. Erkan KÜLEKCİ), the scientific consultant is Professor-Doctor, Dean of the Faculty Mehmet Serhat Yilmaz (Prof.Dr. Mehmet Serhat YILMAZ).

Y.Yesbossynov arrived in Kastamonu on September 1 in accordance with the terms of the international scientific project, and met with professors and teachers and dean of the Faculty of Humanitarian sciences, with the leadership of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature - the Department of Modern Turkic Languages​​of Kastamonu University. During the meeting, the scientific components of the literary translation of the text of Asym`s work and some details of translation activities were discussed, including the reflection of lexicographic data in the Kazakh-Turkish and the Turkish-Kazakh languages ​​and the scientific apparatus of the performed work.

During the meeting, the issue of signing a cooperation agreement between Kastamonu University and Abai KazNPU, the issue of exchange of experience in the scientific and scientific-pedagogical sphere between the two departments, the issue of academic mobility of students and MA were considered.
