Professor of Abai University is the author of the textbook on Translation Studies

On March 17, 2023, a presentation of the textbook on translation studies "Modern Translation Studies" took place at Abai University. Its author is Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Kazakhstan (NAS HSK), Aigul Kazkenovna Zhumabekova.

The textbook for the first time systematically discloses the basic concepts of translation studies. In addition, an overview of the stages of development and history of the study of translation education in Kazakhstan and abroad is presented. The theoretical material is accompanied by examples and tasks in three languages - Kazakh, English and Russian. There is an extensive glossary of translation terms in three languages.
