Round table on the topic "Spiritual revival and current problems of the Turkic world"

On March 6, 2023, the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology held a round table on the topic "Spiritual revival and current problems of the Turkic world".

The round table was opened with a congratulatory speech by the Director of the Institute of Philology, Professor Alua Tanzharikova, who noted the positive discoveries taking place in the humanities in the modern Turkic world, the directions of scientific achievements. The head of the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation, N.N.Konkabayeva wished the speakers good luck and worthy raising of topical issues.

The round table was attended by the teaching staff, students, undergraduates and guests. The main speakers who spoke at the round table presented their topics in detail. The first speaker, professor of the Chair of Kazakh Language and Literature named after Academician S.S. Kirabayev, K.S. Kalybayeva in her study "Modern writing of the Turkic peoples" touched upon the current problem of the alphabet in the country, brought her scientific arguments and conclusions to it.

The chairman of the Foundation for the Culture of the Turkic Peoples "The World of Turan" K.N.Makhpirov was also invited to the round table, who spoke on the topic "In the footsteps of Mahmud Kashgari", researcher of the Department "History of Language and Turkology" of the Institute of Linguistics named after A.Baitursynov I.A.Zhakip on the topic "Kazakh-Turkish cultural ties", deputy Director of the M.O.Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Associate Professor T.E.Kydyr made a report on the topic "Literature of the Golden Horde era" and senior lecturer of the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation E.Z. Esbosynov on the topic "The work of the Turkish poet M.A. Ersoy", they shared interesting information.

The participants of the round table asked questions about the speakers` research, got acquainted with ways to solve problems. At the end of the meeting, speakers were awarded special certificates and photographed for memory.
