A book is a source of knowledge

On March 31, 2023, at the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of Abai KazNPU Institute of Philology a ceremony of donation of textbooks, translation and scientific books to the library of our university was held. The initiator of the book donation campaign was the Institute of Linguistics named after A.Baitursynov. Zhakip Maksut, a senior fellow of the Department of History of Language and Turkology, presented 70 books from the collection of new publications and library fund of his institute.

The director of the Institute of Philology Alua Tanzharykova expressed her gratitude to the head of the A.Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics Anar Fazylzhanova and noted that although today is the time of digitalization, books of traditional type have a special place in the development of students, expanding knowledge and helping to qualify as a future teacher. The director of library of Abai KazNPU Imansydykova Nurgul has paid attention that the library of Institute of Linguistics is very rich in manuscripts and books and is one of few scientific institutions which let out new editions under the authorship of their scientific employees. Nazim Konkabaeva, Head of Oriental Philology and Translation Department of the Institute of Philology, underlined that among the activities carried out at the department level, great importance is given to replenishing and renovating the book collection, and thanked the scientists of the Institute of Linguistics for presenting such excellent scientific works.

The event was attended by staff members of the University Library, senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation E. Esbosynov and students. The book-giving ceremony continued with interesting reports, interviews and reports by the authors of individual works on their content and work on them.
