Master`s Translation Students - Prize-winners of International Student Competitions

«On the 17th of November, the results of two international student competitions held by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics were announced. Following the results of the 1st International Student Oratory Competition, in which more than 30 people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan took part, 4th-year students of the "Translation Studies" specialty, Asel Bespay and Zhansaya Nurmankyzy, took 2nd place, and 3rd-year student Aruzhan Iminova became a bronze medalist, taking 3rd place. A 3rd-year student, Albina Khaibulina, also received a certificate for her participation. Our students delivered a speech on the topic "Patriotism is the resume of all virtues," reflecting on the essence of patriotism and the role of a conscious citizen in modern society. According to the results of the 1st International Student Scientific Projects Competition, 4th-year student Aisha Baigaskina took 3rd place, presenting a business project - a language learning application using AI "MindLink," created based on an analysis of the needs of students facing difficulties in learning. The academic supervisors of the students were lecturers from the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Doctor of Philology, Professor Aigul Zhumabekova, and Candidate of Philological Sciences Nurzhamal Shengelbayeva.
