Assistance was provided to students of the Uyghur department
On 23 January 2026, 21 students of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation at Abai KazNPU, majoring in ‘6B01707 Uyghur Language and Literature, English Language,’ were awarded 50% of their tuition fees by the ‘Republican Ethnocultural Centre of Uyghurs of Kazakhstan.’ The Chairman of the Republican Ethnocultural Centre of Uyghurs of Kazakhstan, Dolkuntay Abdulhelil Aliyev, and the Chairwoman of the Zhanan Public Foundation under the RECUK, Mizangul Avamisimova, met with students majoring in Uyghur Language and Literature and English. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of World Languages, PhD Y. Ospan, Head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor K. Abdrakhmanova, as well as lecturers: PhD, Associate Professor R. Arziev, PhD H. Masimova, and PhD Sh. Baratova. During the meeting, Dolkuntay Abdulhelil focused on the speech given by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the fifth session of the National Kurultai held in Kyzylorda, and spoke in detail about the implementation of political and social programmes, as well as the expansion of opportunities for young people. He presented the students with a special certificate and a 50% tuition fee waiver. Dean of the Faculty Y. Ospan thanked the management of the Republican Ethnocultural Centre of Uyghurs, D. Aliyeva and M. Avamesimov, for their support to the students.
