Students of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science took part in a master class in robotics

On October 11, 2022, master classes for 9th grade students were held at KSU Lyceum №134 as part of the school week of Computer science and robotics. Under the guidance of coach T. Nosov, schoolchildren took their first steps in this IT industry. The master class was attended by students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the specialty «Informatics», Russian department, head of the practice, university professor, PhD Abdulkarimova G.A. After a short introduction - familiarization with the basic concepts of robotics, robot designs and control features, the participants divided into teams and started assembling their first robot. 11th grade students, members of the school circle, winners and participants of various robotics competitions were ready to help, but the teams coped with the task on their own. During the master class, the participants got acquainted with the possibilities of programming and controlling the robot. After assembling the robot, the participants program it and test it for software errors. At the end of the master class, the teams presented their projects and demonstrated the control of their robot.

Lyceum №134 in Almaty has been the base of pedagogical practice for students of Abai KazNPU for many years, an experienced computer science teacher T.V. Zhuiko, a research teacher, motivates students and young computer science teachers to continuous improvement, including a recent graduate of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science - R.R. Izakhunova.

The event became part of the activities of the Department of Informatics and Informatization of Education for the development of methodological competencies of students - future teachers of computer science and robotics, and was aimed at increasing students` interest in this area.
