Anti-Corruption Alert and Code of Integrity

On October 18-20, 2022 in Abai KazNPU in accordance with paragraph 1.12 of the Plan of anticorruption for the academic year 2022-2023 under the project «Sanaly urpaq» Institutes of Arts, Culture and Sports, as well as History and Law organized a meeting with the anti-corruption compliance officer Usipov Kambar on the topic «Anticorruption prevention and the Code of Integrity».

The event was attended by the director of the Institute of History and Law Gabit Kenzhebayev, deputy director for educational and social work Nurlan Manapov, editors and students of 1-2 courses (offline -126 students). Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports - 166 students.

Usipov K.T. informed about legislative changes in the area of anticorruption and gave an overview of ongoing activities at the university. He noted that in general the work aimed at observing the principles of academic integrity and anti-corruption is carried out in accordance with the Univeristy Plan, told about the competencies of the Anticorruption Council, holding thematic surveys, meetings, creative competitions, roundtables to educate students in the spirit of anticorruption. The students were instructed on compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001-2016 - anti-corruption management system implemented in the university in recent years.

In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the Concept of anticorruption policy of the RK for 2022-2026 a new version of the « Anticorruption Policy» of the University, Instruction (Leaflet), as well as QR-code to provide feedback, which will be placed in a prominent place in all buildings of the University and in the dormitories are being developed. Despite the positive changes in the process of allocation of dormitories (transition to the new digital format), K.Usipov, using a concrete example, informed about still existing intermediaries among students. Therefore, it is of great importance to carry out continuous explanatory work on the part of the envisagers in this direction.

The meeting was held at a high organisational level with active student participation.
