«Zhastyk - Uyren!» essay contest

Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai KazNPU with the financial support of the Center for Uyghur Literature and Culture (ULCC), with the support of the Education Council under the Republican Ethnocultural Center of the Uyghurs of Kazakhstan, Guldala secondary school No. 21, organized an essay contest «Zhastyk - Uyren!» among the students of 9-11 grades of schools with the Uyghur language of instruction and students of universities and pedagogical colleges studying in the specialties of the Uyghur language, at the republican level, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the outstanding poet Lutpulla Mutallip, that was held and summed up, on the November 16-17, 2022.

In the essay contest «Zhastyk - Uyren!» participants were free to express their thoughts in written and oral form. Among them were identified pupils and students with high creative, critical thinking. In her speech, the head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai KazNPU N. N. Konkabayeva noted the importance of communication with the university between schools and expressed her best wishes to the participants.

The jury included Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai KazNPU R.U. Arziev, senior teachers of the department Sh.B. Baratov and H.V. Massimov, who took part in the objective assessment of pupils and students.

According to the results of the competition among students, the 2nd year student of the specialty «Uighur language and literature» Sabina Kurvanova took the 1st place, the 3rd year student Bosakova Gulnaz took the 2nd prize.

In general, the competition made a great impression on the participants.
