Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University student is the winner of the Chinese song contest «Music is Our Common Language»

On December 3, 2022 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our country and China, Confucius Institute at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi held the final stage of the next, 8th, Chinese song contest «Music - our common language. The competition consisted of 2 stages. In the 1st stage, students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University, Turan University, and Kazakh-Chinese Language College performed. Fifteen participants qualified for the second round. In the decisive stage of the contest, the participants not only sang Chinese songs, but also demonstrated excellent knowledge of the history and culture of the Celestial Empire.

Under the guidance of Almabekova Asel Almabekova, the senior teacher of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai KazNPU, the 3rd year student of the specialty «Foreign Philology: Oriental (Chinese) language» Aidana Sultanmuratova participated and won the grand prize by the jury decision of the representatives of the Consulate General of China in Almaty, Chinese banks and neighboring country enterprises. All participants-winners and their supervisors were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. We express thanks to Amina Yesimbayeva, the 3rd year student of the specialty «Foreign Philology: Oriental (Chinese) language», Amit Danagul, Kopbay Emir, Daniyaruly Madiyar, the 2nd year students of the specialty «Foreign language: two foreign languages» of Chinese department who supported Aidana in this competition.
