TechCup Championship in Robotics and Innovative Technologies

On December 21-22, 2022, VII TechCup Open Championship on Robotics and Innovative Technologies for Akim`s Cup of Almaty was held. More than 2,500 competitors from 14 regions of the republic took part in the five areas of scientific competition. The Championship was conducted among participants aged 7 to 22 years old, who presented their unique engineering projects and demonstrated their knowledge of robotics, new technologies and programming, engineering technologies and 3D-modelling. All preparatory work was carried out in the STEM technology laboratory at Abai Labs Innovation Park, under the guidance of its head Seiduali Kasim.

The honour of our university in IT business direction was defended by a student of 4-year speciality «Robotics and Mechanics» Ersin Mukhtarhan and a student of 3 year speciality «Computer Science in English» Torekeldieva Amina, who took first place. The winners were awarded the Diploma of the 1st degree and a cash prize. Another project of our team was awarded a certificate of Investors` Accelerator. Team members: Altynbay Birzhan, 4th year student of Informatics and Robotics, and Tökeldieva Zhibek, 3rd year student of Informatics in English.
