Webometrics: Abai University is in the top 5 of the best universities in Kazakhstan!

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities-2023, an international ranking of the websites of the best educational institutions of the world, is published every six months. It is a global ranking based on a combined indicator that takes into account the demand for the website of the university and publications of its researchers in scientometric systems Scopus and Google Scholar.

A total of 129 universities in Kazakhstan participated in the global ranking. Abai University is on 3628th place among world universities, having moved up in the ranking by 1240 points. According to new Webometrics data, our university is among the top 5 universities in the country, ranking 5th (July 2022 - 7th). The flagship of pedagogical education - KazNPU named after Abay, showing good results, took 1st place among Kazakhstan sectoral universities.

Webometrics analyzes the presence of universities in the Internet space, including scientific publications, evaluates the content and popularity of university websites. The Cybermetrics Lab methodology builds an algorithm for ranking universities based on three indicators: Impact, Openness, Excellence. In terms of Impact Abai University ranks 2nd among Kazakhstani universities. The website of KazNPU named after Abai also occupies high positions in national and international rankings.

Annual successes of KazNPU named after Abai once again confirm its stable position in the world system of higher education. Participation in international rankings allows the university to position the university in the world scientific space, to enter the international educational environment, to coordinate educational and research processes with international rules and standards, to improve the quality of educational services, to find new opportunities for growth.
