Seminar "Voice of the Steppe: Creativity and Legacy of Yassawi
The "Voice of the Steppe: Creativity and Legacy of Yassawi" educational seminar was held on 1 February 2023 to mark the 930th anniversary of the birth of Khoja Ahmet Yassawi, the outstanding Islamic scholar, poet and philosopher, who called for unity among Turkic nations.
The aim of the event is to form faith, justice and patriotism in our students on the basis of works of Khoja Ahmet Yassawi. The speaker of the seminar is professor of geography and ecology department, member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Union of World Writers Kaster Sarkytkan. Moderator - Bakirov Serik, Deputy Director of the Institute of Natural History and Geography for Educational Work. The main guests of the event were teachers and students of school-gymnasium No. 123 named after A. Yassawi in Almaty. It is worth noting that the talented graduates of the school are a popularizer of folk art, I. Altynsarin medalist, dombrister Tazhi Rakhatdin and master of arts, historian Zhanikul Kaldybek. The seminar was held at a high level and our students received the valuable information they needed.
