Students were informed about drug addiction and its consequences

On February 21, 2023 employees of the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy of Abai KazNPU together with doctors of the university and a physician-narcologist, psychiatrist of the city narcological centre of Medeu district of Almaty Lyubushkin held a seminar "The consequences of drug abuse" for students of the Institute of History and Law, for the prevention of drug abuse among young people.

Students were told about the consequences of abuse of psychotropic and narcotic substances, stages and symptoms of addiction, as well as shown a video.

Students asked questions: "What is the difference between anasha and drugs?", "What is the difference between drug and substance abuse?", "What drugs containing narcotic substances?", "What is the criminal responsibility for the use, possession and distribution of drugs?" and received answers to them.

The information given at the seminar was rich and very useful for the students. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the medical staff and organisers of such an important event.
