"Dance Fest" city dance contest

On February 28, 2023, on the occasion of the 95th Anniversary of our University, city dance competition "Dance Fest" among students of Almaty high schools was conducted by the organization of Youth Affairs Committee. The participants were KazUIR & WL named after Abylai Khan, Abai KazNPU, IUIT, Al-Farabi KazNU, KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpaev, Daukeev, the Academy of Civil Aviation and KazNAU.

The contestants were evaluated by Shyngys Nurlanov, Vice-Rector for Social Development of Abai KazNPU, choreographer of TV projects such as "KyzykTimes", "Gakku", "Zhyl Tandauy", choreographer of the dance group "Inyan" Anelya Aidarova, graduate of our university, artistic director of the "Altynai" band of Almaty Regional Philharmonic named after Suyunbay Agiyaruly Bekzat, associate professor of Abai KazNPU Kumarzhanov Almat.

The aim of the event was to develop creative and leadership skills of young people. As a result of the contest "SHADOWS" dance group won the nomination "Audience Favorite", 3rd place was taken by the dance group "ADC", 2nd - dance group "EastLine", 1st place was won by the dance group "Sheker". The peculiarity of this competition is that the mascot of our university, "Abay Arlany", was presented to the public. It would be no exaggeration to say that on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of our university "Abay Arlany" was a novelty. We believe that the city dance contest "Dance Fest" held at the highest level at university will become traditional and find its continuation as an annual event.
