Applicant 2023: "Profession - the way to the future" offline meeting

On December 16, an offline meeting of gymnasium No. 62 named after Sh.Smakhanuly in Almaty among pupils of grades 10-11 with the participation of director M.N.Nabidollaeva, as part of career guidance and the implementation of the School leaver-2023 project "Profession- the way to the future", was organized by the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai University. Pupils of the 10th and 11th grades were presented with general information about Abai University and detailed information about the specialties of the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation, as well as relevant presentations and videos for a wider acquaintance. The meeting was attended by the head of the Chair of Oriental Philology and Translation, N.N. Konkabayeva and senior teachers of the chair N.R.Shengelbayeva, Zh.M.Yelemesova, A.M.Almabekova, who provided detailed information about the university and about the specialties of the chair. And the information was provided completely and in detail.

Information about the position of the university in the world market and international relations of higher educational institutions increased the interest of students. The participants of the career guidance forum gave exhaustive answers to the questions of schoolchildren, such as Translation studies, oriental and foreign languages, general social benefits and opportunities to win a grant for the UNT.

It was said that there are pupils intending to study at Abai University, and the information received concluded that career guidance is an important task aimed at preparing the younger generation for a conscious analysis of the relevant profession that they like.
