Turkish Language and Culture Week

Within the framework of the Decade of Science of Abai KazNPU the teachers of Turkish language of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology conducted the Week of Turkish language from the 4th to 7th of April 2023.

PhD Dinara Ashimova and senior lecturers Gulnaz Satbay and Nurjamal Kospaganbetova initiated the cultural and intellectual event. Vice-rector for social development Shyngys Nurlanov, deputy director on scientific work Almas Naimanbayev and the head of the Department of Eastern Philology and Translation Nazym Konkabaeva took part and made welcoming speech at the opening of the Turkish Language Week.

Students of 2nd and 4th years took part in the competition in the categories "Poetry recitation", "Singing", "Essay", "Journey to Turkey - posters" and "Intellectual competition". Among the judges were a volunteer teacher from Turkey Reihan Gokbel and associate professor Yergali Esbosynov.

As a result, the students of the senior lecturer Nurjamal Kospaganbetova took first place in the team event. The performance of 4th year students led by Dinara Ashimova and Gulnaz Satbay was also very interesting and won the attention of the jury and all participants of the event. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners.
