The system of internal quality assurance is a system of interrelated and interacting Policies, standards, tools and methods of education quality management.
The main purpose of the system of internal quality assurance of education is to assess the quality of the educational process, as well as the continuous improvement and development of educational programmes. The system of internal quality assurance at the university is a complex of activities and procedures aimed at:
1) Assessment and quality management of education: - Educational programs and curricula should be developed taking into account current scientific knowledge, global trend, requirements for relevant educational standards, international benchmarks and needs of students, employers. - Evaluation and analysis of educational programs using various methods such as stakeholder questionnaires, expert assessments, including assessment of students` performance, effectiveness of teaching and assessment methods.
2) Development and professional development of the teaching staff: - The teaching staff with high qualification and professional competences is a key aspect of ensuring the quality of education. - Evaluation of teaching staff performance through surveys of students, colleagues and heads of the programme, as well as the effectiveness of teaching and assessment methods (post-course surveys).
3)Development of infrastructure and other resources: - Availability of modern textbooks, teaching and learning materials, equipment, laboratories, libraries and other resources is also important to ensure the quality of education. Students should have access to modern technology and resources that will help them learn effectively and achieve the intended learning outcomes.
4)Continuous improvement and innovation in education: - Systematic analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the educational process and EP to identify aspects for development and good innovations for dissemination. - Development and implementation of innovative technologies and modern approaches to student-centred learning.
5)Monitoring and Quality Assurance: - Establishing a system for monitoring and assuring the quality of the educational process, including curricula, students` level of knowledge, analysing assessments, etc. - Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and rectify non-conformities and irregularities in quality assurance.
6)Establishing feedback with learners: - Students make requirements to the quality of the educational program (content reflecting the interests and needs of the learner), educational environment (infrastructure) and educational process (organisation, technologies and methods of teaching, assessment).
The system of internal quality assurance of education is results-oriented, aiming at improving the quality of the educational process and meeting the needs of learners, employers and society as a whole.
