Scientists of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay - participants of the I International Psychological Forum

On June 15-16, 2023 I International Forum of psychologists "Actual problems of diagnostics and development of abilities and endowment of children and youth" was held in Astana. The aim was to attract domestic researchers in the field of psychology to the identification and development of abilities and giftedness of children. Scientists and teachers of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, who actively cooperate with the Corporate Foundation "Ei Umiti" and are engaged in research work within the projects on the diagnosis and development of the giftedness of children and teenagers in Kazakhstan, were involved in the forum.

Representatives of Abai KazNPU - Professor A.K. Satova and Associate Professor G.B. Nietbaeva - were moderators of the sections of the forum. G.B.Nietbaeva also gave a master class on "Methods of development of communicative abilities of children of primary school age" and the teacher G.A.Mombieva on "Emotional intelligence: methods and mechanisms of regulation of emotions". Teachers of the Department of General and Applied Psychology at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology T.A. Ingaibekova, A.O. Nadirbekova, S.A. Tukebaeva and A.B. Sadykova made presentations.

There were discussed the modern challenges, psychological and pedagogical tools associated with the identification, support and development of children`s talents. During the forum, scientists-teachers of Abai KazNPU, who are the authors of methods to diagnose and develop the abilities of children and adolescents, as well as trainers of Qabilet project conducted thematic trainings and master classes for school psychologists from the regions of the country.
