Scientific trip to Moscow for the performers of a scientific project on translation problems

In accordance with the calendar plan of the scientific project AR19680449 "Assessing the quality of translation: scientific and educational spheres" in Moscow from September 17 to September 27, 2023, the executors of the scientific project went on a business trip in the following composition: Zhumabekova Aigul Kazkenovna, Doctor of Philology, Professor Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of Abay University (scientific supervisor), PhD Kurkimbaeva Aizhan Muratovna and PhD Aldabergenova Aiym Aldabergenovna (project executors, teachers at Ablai khan Kazakh university of international relations and world languages).

The purpose of the foreign scientific trip to Moscow was to study the use of proprietary systems for assessing the quality of translation in leading Russian scientific and educational centers that train translation personnel in various fields of the humanities.

The implementers of the scientific project attended classes and established scientific contacts with scientists and teachers of leading Moscow universities: M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University - Doctor of Philology Professor of the Department of Theory of Teaching Foreign Languages, author of famous textbooks on theory and practice of translation Z.G. Proshina,; Moscow Pedagogical State University - member of the Union of Translators of Russia, Russian Association of Linguists and Cognitive Scientists, head of the department of theory and practice of translation and communication, Ph.D., prof. E.I. Kovaleva, teachers of this department D.A. Arsenyeva and Z.T. Kelekhsaeva; G.V. Plekhanov Russian Economic University - Ph.D., Associate Professors of the Department of Foreign Languages G.T. Bezkorovaynaya, A.E. Grigoryan, E.I. Sokolova; National Research University «Higher School of Economics» - Ph.D., Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages I.V. Ubozhenko and others.

On September 26, 2023, a round table was organized at the Moscow State Linguistic University with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Translation, Ph.D. E.A. Pokholkova, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Director of the Project Office for International Cooperation O.G. Egorova, Ph.D., Head of the Department of German Language and Translation E.A. Yuklyaeva, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Languages and Cultures of CIS Countries and Near Abroad Zh.S. Khulkhachieva and other teachers of Moscow State Linguistic University. The project implementers spoke about their research tasks and exchanged views with their Russian colleagues.

Thus, the scientific trip was very fruitful; was full of meetings with professionals in the field of translation studies.
