19.10.2023 A new interpretation of the ancient Turkic language and alphabet
On October 18, the department of "Oriental Philology and Translation", Institute of Philology, organized an open lecture by Bilge Uzel, a researcher at the International Academy of Languages (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), on the topic "A new interpretation of the Ancient Turkic Language and Alphabet". Talking about ancient written monuments, the lecturer focused on the features of the inscriptions of the peoples of the Turkic countries. Those present at the lecture were also informed about a number of works being carried out to prevent the extinction of endangered languages.
The lecture was attended by students of the specialties "Translation Studies", 4th year and "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages", 3rd year students, as well as the head of the chair N.N. Konkabaeva, Turkish language teacher D.M. Ashimova, U. Islyamova, Turkish language volunteer R.G.Saluk. During the lecture, the lecturer and event participants exchanged questions and answers.
At the end of the event, the head of the chair N.N. Konkabaeva, thanking Bilge Uzel for holding a meaningful lecture, presented a letter of gratitude and a memorable gift from our university.
