Requirements for Candidates for Scientific Internships 1) possession of an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), or Master`s degree. 2) at least 12 (twelve) months of continuous actual work experience in the chosen field of scientific research at accredited entities engaged in scientific and/or scientific-technical activities, which are legal entities. 3)An unconditional invitation (excluding financial conditions) from a foreign organization listed as an eligible host for the scientific internship, in accordance with the proposed scientific research. 4) Knowledge of the state and foreign languages at the level corresponding to the requirements established by the Working Body. 5) Presence of scientific results (articles or reviews indexed in international databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, or in domestic or foreign scientific publications recommended by the authorized body responsible for overseeing science and higher education (hereinafter referred to as the authorized body)) and/or an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
Main Steps to Participate in the Competition Scientific Internships Step 1 – obtain an Unconditional Invitation To participate in the scholarship competition, the applicant needs to select a specialty for the scientific internship from the list of priority areas available at (https://bolashak.gov.kz/pretendentu-po-ns/prioritetnye-napravleniya ) - click to view. Step 2 – Choose a Foreign Organization After selecting a specialty, the applicant must choose a foreign organization from the recommended list for the scientific internship. Step 3 – Gather the Complete Set of Documents After selecting a specialty and a foreign organization for the scientific internship, the applicant must gather a complete set of documents to participate in the competition. Step 4 – Submit Documents to the International Programs Center The submission of documents for the scientific internship competition is conducted online through the web portal https://cabinet.bolashak.gov.kz/login - click to view.
Required Documents: completed application form for the scientific internship competition, as approved by the Working Body; download - click to download. employer`s application for the scientific internship with the condition of retaining the job position, as approved by the Working Body; download - click to download. originals and copies of passport and identification card (originals will be returned to the applicant after verification). original and copy of the document confirming the academic degree of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), or Master`s degree (originals will be returned to the applicant after verification). If studying at a foreign educational organization, a certificate of recognition of the educational document or another document of recognition of the educational document in accordance with the specifics established in paragraph 8 of Article 39 of the Republic of Kazakhstan Law "On Education."

If documents are submitted through a representative, a notarized power of attorney for the representative.
