Vocational guidance work at school within the framework of the practice of psychology masters students

On October 26, 2023 masters studying on educational programme "7M03116-Psychological diagnostics and development of abilities" of department of general and applied psychology of Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology conducted career guidance work with schoolchildren of 11 class of School-gymnasium №68 of Almaty.

In the course of career guidance work organised by the Institute, Associate Professor of the Department Tusubekova Kunslu made an introductory speech and gave the opportunity to conduct such an event to the 2nd year master student Botataeva Akzhan. She told the schoolchildren about the speciality "Psychology", showed a video with equipped rooms and educational-research laboratory "Psychological Diagnosis of Personality". The master`s student also conducted with students a mini-training with exercises, which interested students and served as an incentive for further study of psychology. As a result, several students expressed their desire to study psychology in the future and signed up for counselling for admission to the institute in 2024.
