“Festive Event Dedicated to the Day of Languages “Language Is the Soul of the Nation”

On September 5, 2025, a festive event dedicated to the Day of Languages titled “Language Is the Soul of the Nation” was held at the department. The event aimed to enhance students’ respect for languages, promote the value of multilingualism, and introduce the cultures of various peoples. The event was organized by the lecturer of the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology, Toktarbek S. Participants included the head of the department, Alikhankyzy G., lecturers Meirkhan S., Raeva A.N., Beisen A., as well as students of the department. Students studying Chinese and Korean languages actively took part in the event, showcasing their talents and linguistic abilities. Songs, dances, performances, and creative presentations reflecting the cultural traditions of different nations were warmly received by the audience. During the event, the importance of multilingualism and ethnocultural awareness was highlighted, with concrete examples demonstrating their significance. Special attention was given to developing students’ intercultural communication skills. The event was organized at a high level and gave a strong impetus to the department’s educational, linguistic, and cultural activities. This celebration dedicated to the Day of Languages made a valuable contribution to the students’ spiritual development and increased their interest in the cultures of the world.
