Meeting with the management of the Hong Kong Pedagogical University

On November 15, 2023, the leadership of the Abai KazNPU held the meeting with the Rector of the Hong Kong Pedagogical University, Professor Lee John Chi-kin and the Deputy Vice President of the University, Lo Xing Kai.

At the beginning of the event, representatives of the two universities got to know each other and shared information about their educational institutions. This allowed the parties to better understand the concept and goals of the two universities and created a common platform for further discussion of cooperation plans.

During the meeting, various ways of developing partnerships between Abai KazNPU and this foreign university were reviewed. Paying special attention to the issues of academic mobility for students, the parties discussed the possibilities of student exchange. This allows them to expand their worldview and get an education in an international environment. Proposals were also made on the mutual exchange of experience and knowledge between the teaching staff of the two universities. The possibilities of joint creation and implementation of scientific research to promote research and scientific projects are discussed.

The concept of the dual degree program was presented during the meeting. This means the creation of special educational programs that will provide students of both universities with the opportunity to obtain a double degree. Such a program allows students to gain advanced knowledge and skills in various fields, as well as increase their global awareness.

At the end of the meeting, both sides accepted the proposals and expressed their readiness to further strengthen partnerships. It was agreed to sign a Memorandum of cooperation between the two universities for further work on cooperation.
