RECTOR T.O. BALYKBAYEV MET WITH THE UNIVERSITY STAFF

     The main tasks of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University are bringing the education system into line with international standards, enrollment in the educational process  the world innovative technologies and the preparation of competitive specialists.

        In this regard, on 23 September of  the current year, rector of the university, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Takir Balykbayev met with teachers and staff to acquaint with the prospects of the new academic year development.

          The University rector congratulated the employees on the new academic year and provided information on plans for the future. "This year 2664 students at our university, and the total number of contingents - 7000 students. I hope that in the future we will continue to increase this figure. To do this, we need to determine our future vision and long-term plans. In this regard, we face the challenge of revising the University Development Strategy. At the recent meeting of the Supervisory Board, due to the aging of the content of the Strategy, it was decided to re-design the Development Strategy of our University until 2025 on the basis of new program documents adopted in the country in recent years. Here the main attention is paid to the educational process. New goals of education and training, the importance of organizing the educational process and improving the quality of teaching are defined. One of the priorities of our strategic direction is the strengthening of human resources. To do this, we need to improve the professional level of teachers, administrative and managerial staff and the proportion of employees in the field of education management. Within the framework of the implementation of the program article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan`s identity " planned to create a project-office, where the work of the Alumni Association will be intensified, focus on developing textbooks for secondary schools based on the experience of foreign countries like Finland, Taiwan and The share of fundamental and applied research in priority areas of science will increase. We need to improve infrastructure and services to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of our university. At the same time, we are promoting the idea of ​​moving to a digital university, "said the university rector.

         Then the meeting continued in the free microphone mode. Issues such as, the volume of the training load, the introduction of electronic journals in the training process, the revision of the evaluation system for teachers and other issues related to the learning process were raised and discussed.

         At the end of the meeting,  Academician Aliya Beisenova  stressed the necessity  to use and constantly to promote the pedagogical heritage of the scientists G.A.Umanov, N.D. Hmel, R.M. Koyanbayev, who made a great contribution to the development of Kazakhstan pedagogy and dedicated their life to educational activities at the university and expressed gratitude to the University rector.
