On December 9, 2025, Gulnara Rakhimova, senior lecturer of political science and social-philosophical disciplines department of Institute of history and law conducted with the students of the 3rd year of a speciality «Sociology» an educational and teaching hour on a theme «Zhurekte kalgaan - Zheltoqsan».

The event began with a moment of silence for the victims of the December events of 1986. Then students presented a special programme dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
