Science is the driving force of the universe

 

 

20 scientists of Abai University passed the competitive selection of the Bolashak Centre for International Programmes and became scholarship holders of the 500 Scientists programme. Now they will undergo training in the best scientific centres of the world, and upon completion - will move the domestic science.
 
In the Address of the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev from 1 September 2020 "Kazakhstan in the new reality: time of action", in accordance with the instruction of the Government of Kazakhstan on the development of science, it is noted that annually 500 scientists of the country will be trained abroad. Published the next list of grant holders under the programme. As a result of the decision of the meeting of the Republican Commission for training abroad, a number of teachers of Abai KazNPU were included in this list.

 

Out of 34 scientists submitted as candidates from Abai University, 20 fulfil all selection criteria and conditions of the competition. For the scientific internship, the applicant must have a doctoral or PhD degree, a doctoral degree in the field, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), a Master`s degree. The main condition is knowledge of the state and foreign languages. Rules for selection of candidates and scientific internship: the scientific research should have a continuous actual work experience in the chosen field of specialisation for the last 12 (twelve) months, the presence of an unconditional invitation on behalf of the foreign organisation accepting the internship, publication of articles in international scientific publications such as Web of Science, Scopus. The specialist who meets the above requirements should further collect documents and be admitted to the competition in 3 stages. Completion of scientific internship is considered once.
 
Scientists who received grants under the Bolashak programme will improve their professional qualifications in advanced educational institutions and scientific centres abroad.
