In the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities Abai University entered the top 5 best universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan

The international ranking of websites of the best educational institutions in the world - Webometrics Ranking of World Universities-2024 (January), which is compiled every six months, has been published. This is a global ranking based on a combined indicator that takes into account the demand for the university website and publications of its researchers in the scientific metrics systems Scopus and Google Scholar.
 
31864 universities of the world and 127 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the world ranking. Among the universities of the world Abai University takes 4157th place, rising in the ranking by 724 points, on the indicator Impact increased by 6110 points. According to the new Webometrics data, Abai University entered the top 5 best universities in the country, ranking 5th (in 2023 ranked 5th and 7th, 2022 ranked 7th and 9th). The flagship of pedagogical education - Abai KazNPU, having shown good results, took the 1st place among the sectoral universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
 
Webometrics analyses the presence of universities in the Internet space, including scientific publications, assesses the content and popularity of university websites. Cybermetrics Lab methodology is used to build an algorithm for ranking universities based on three indicators: Impact, Openness, Excellence.

Abai KazNPU continues to demonstrate annual achievements, which again confirm its stable position in the global system of higher education. Participation in international rankings provides the university with an opportunity to actively position itself in the global scientific space, ensure its entry into the international educational environment, harmonise educational and scientific processes in accordance with international rules and standards, improve the quality of educational services and open new prospects for development.
