Students of Abai KazNPU took part in a poetry evening in Poland

The First International Student Poetry Evening was held at the Student club of Pomeranian University in Slupsk (Poland). The event was organized by the Department of Neophilology of Polish University with the active participation of students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU, who are currently studying in Slupsk under two-degree program. The presenters were Rufina Abuzyarova and Aidar Bigaziev. The co-organizers were also members of the scientific student circle "Horizons of Slavyanism" of Pomeranian University, whose guardian is an undergraduate of Abai KazNPU, and now an associate professor of the Department of Neophilology - Maxim Ponomarenko, PhD.

Students performed their favorite poems from the stage, as well as poems of their own composition in different languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, Ukrainian, Belarusian, German and Polish. This created a unique atmosphere of intercultural dialogue and helped students learn more about each other.
Due to the students of Abai KazNPU, many Slup students from various countries learned what dombra is and how unique and special it sounds for the first time. They also performed poems by poets of the XX century, a monologue by Hamlet Shakespeare and several poems in Kazakh language from the stage.
The third, musical part of the evening turned out to be the most memorable. The students performed songs of their own composition with guitar and piano, and also presented famous songs in Russian, English, Belarusian and Kazakh. It is worth noting that the interest of the audience was huge, the audience supported the speakers with stormy applause, and what was happening on stage caused a lot of different emotions. In conclusion, each participant received a commemorative certificate from the Rector of Pomeranian University.
