Kudaibergen Zhubanov-the personality of the Great Steppe

On March 1, 2024, in the main academic building of Abai University, together with the Akhmet and Gaziza Zhubanov Memorial Museum and the Institute of History and Law of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, an event "Kudaibergen Zhubanov-the personality of the Great Steppe" was held, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the first Kazakh linguist professor Kudaibergen Kuanovich Zhubanov.

​The event began with congratulations from the vice-rector for Research and Innovation of Abai KazNPU, Doctor of Law, Professor Buribaev Ermek Abiltaevich. Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Koigeldiev Mambet Kulzhabaevich, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abzhanov Khankeldy Makhmutovich, citing historical facts, made informative reports on the rich heritage of Kudaibergen Zhubanov, who became a victim of the Red Massacre, in the field of art and culture. The special guest of the evening, Candidate of Philological Sciences, granddaughter of Kudaibergen Zhubanova Zhubanova Ardak Yesetovna, not only shared valuable information about her grandfather, but also told about the fate that wounded the heart of the Zhubanov family of that period. Also during the event, the guests visited a specially organized exhibition. The exhibition will feature expositions dedicated to the life and career of Kudaibergen Zhubanov.

During the evening, Gabit Kapezovich Kenzhebaev, Director of the Institute of History and Law, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a speech. In addition, Zhubanova Ardak Yesetovna was presented with special gifts and bouquets of flowers.
