Traditionally, we take an excursion together with ASBK

It has become a tradition, when 2nd year students of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, together with the ASBK, take an excursion to study the species diversity of birds. We`re grateful to the ASBK (Udartseva. E.R.) , for this unique opportunity to study the biodiversity of the animal world.

"Our impressions of the ornithological excursion on Lake Sairan are simply amazing! We`re delighted with the variety of birds that we were able to observe. Magnificent views, in live observation of bird behavior, their songs - all this created an incredible atmosphere. Although this tour has become not only an exciting activity, but also a great way to learn more about the birds world. We sincerely thank, the organizers for such an unforgettable experience!".

"... We not only saw a wide variety of birds, also learned a lot of about their habitat, migrations and the ecosystem of the lake. It was an interesting experience that not only expanded our knowledge, whenever aroused in us even more interest in nature and its inhabitants".

"We were lucky enough to take part in an excursion on Lake Sairan. Despite the cloudy weather, the day turned out to be interesting and informative also. On this excursion, we learned to identify different species of birds: by morphological signs, singing, structure nests. During the tour, we managed to see 24 different species, among which there was such an interesting bird as Hoopoe. Of particular interest were the rules for keeping records of birds. We learned how to- properly complete a field diary, what data needs to be captured, and how this information can be used to study and protect birds. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the organizers of the tour for the chance to get acquainted with the feathered inhabitants of Lake Sairan and learn a lot about them".
