An information webinar was held at Abai KazNPU with representatives of the publishing house DeGruyter

On April 4, 2024, as part of the Decade of Science, an information webinar "Possibilities of the Sciendopublishing platform of the DeGruyter publishing house for publications of teaching staff and doctoral students" was held at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The organizers of the webinar are the Department of Science (Ulzharkyn Abdigapbarova), the journal «Pedagogy and Psychology» (Saule Issaliyeva) and иExternal evaluation and analysis Department of CQAFSHE of the RK SHEM (Karlygash Sakenova).

Speaker Vlad Vernigora (co-founder of theEurasian Association of Scientific Journals Ltd, projectmanager at Tallinn Technical University) spoke about the main internationalization strategies and activities of modern publishing houses, foreign experience in developing the publication activity of authors, increasing their recognition and citation, and introduced participants to the capabilities of the Sciendo publishing platform. 

The webinar was attended by editors and staff of scientific journals included in the List of CQAFSHE of the RK SHEM, administration, teaching staff and students of Kazakhstani universities.

The audience showed keen interest in the topic of the webinar; many questions were received regarding assessing the quality of academic research, the possibility of publication in scientific publications of the DeGruyter publishing house and the Sciendo publishing platform. The webinar became a launching pad for further cooperation between Kazakh and foreign scientists, scientific journals and publishers.
