KazNPU students attended the opening of the exhibition «Madeni Maidan» dedicated to ethnographer-scientist Uzbekali Zhanibekov

On May 15, 2024, the Department of Social Development and Youth Policy and the Academy of Pedagogical Excellence «School of Mentoring» university students within the framework of the mentoring project "Almaty museumlere Sayakhat" visited the exhibition «Madeni Maidan» dedicated to the life and work of a prominent statesman and public figure, ethnographer-scientist Uzbekali Zhanibekov, which opened in the Museum of Almaty.

Students of the Faculty of History and Law got acquainted with photographs, archival documents, works and awards, clothes, personal belongings, manuscripts, sketches from the family of U. Zhanibekov at the exhibition, stage clothes, photographs of the first performer of the ensemble "Sazgen Sazy" modeled after U. Zhanibekov from the funds of the Almaty Museum, musical instruments and State historical and Cultural funds The museum reserve was visited by the personal belongings of U. Zhanibekov.

It should be noted that Uzbekali Zhanibekov is a patriot who has done fundamental work on the development of national culture and art of the Kazakh people, contributed to the revival of traditions and historical relics. On his initiative, about a hundred museums and ethnographic halls were opened in Kazakhstan, "Sazgen sazy", "Sherter", "Adyrna", "Altynai", folk ethnographic song and dance ensembles, theaters "Kazrestavratsiya", "The State Collection of musical instruments played with unique enthusiasm".
