The VI Abai Readings were held at the Pomeranian University in Slupsk (Poland)


The VI International Scientific Seminar "Abai Readings: History and Perspectives of Kazakh Culture" was held at Pomeranian University in Słupsk to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Abai Centre for Kazakh Culture and Science.

 

The scientific seminar was organized in a hybrid format jointly by the Abai KazNPU, with the participation of representatives from academic circles of Kazakhstan, Poland, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Gdańsk, the fan club of Dimash Kudaibergenov, as well as Kazakh and Polish students, masters and doctoral students of the Pomeranian University.

 

The opening of the seminar was addressed by Danuta Gerczyńska, Vice-Rector of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk, Aigul Iskakova, Vice-Rector of Abai KazNPU, and Maxim Ponomarenko, Coordinator of the Abai Centre for Kazakh Culture and Science at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk. "The annual "Abai Readings" have become a good tradition and demonstrate the high level of spiritual relations between the friendly peoples of the two countries and universities," said Danuta Gerczyńska.

 

The readings were held in the form of a creative festival, which is aimed at promoting Abai`s literary heritage, forming a culture of reading and literary taste, and fostering patriotism. Such events promote not only Abai`s works, but also Kazakh culture, literature and history, and make a great contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

 

The scientific seminar "Abai Readings" is an annual international event held on the basis of the Abai Centre for Kazakh Culture and Science at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk together with the Abai KazNPU.
