Rector of Abai University met with 1st year doctoral students

On September 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM, Abai University Rector Bolat Tlep met with first-year doctoral students who enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year. The meeting also included Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation E. Sultan and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs B. M. Narbekova. In his opening speech, the rector emphasized the government`s focus on enhancing scientific research and supporting young scholars. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan allocated 193 grants to the university, of which 166 have already been utilized. Rector Bolat Anapiyaevich also discussed the university`s transition to a pedagogical research institution, aligning with the development strategy of KazNPU named after Abai.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector E. Sultan presented changes and additions to the latest regulatory acts concerning dissertation defense, while Vice-Rector Banu Mukataevna Narbekova discussed the connection with educational institutions, the selection of doctoral research topics, and the main conditions for conducting pedagogical and research practices.

In an open format, participants discussed topics such as research themes, scientific internships, approval of foreign scientific consultants, timely defense, and publications. Deputy Director of the Department Of Science Almas Naimanbaev and Head of the Research and Scientific Personnel Training Department Gulzada Bayimbetova provided specific and comprehensive answers to all questions raised by the doctoral students.
