Abai University teacher undertakes scientific internship at the University of Minnesota

In the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, PhD, Zhazira Kuanyshbaeva, a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Faculty of History and Law at Abai KazNPU, is undertaking an scientific internship as part of the "500 Scientists" program. Kuanyshbaeva`s research supervisor for the internship is one of the university`s leading professors, Michael Goh, who holds the Campbell Leadership Chair in Education and Human Development.

The goal of the internship is to study the impact of conformity on changing the beliefs and socio-political values of young people, as well as to develop effective ways to positively influence the development of these values.

In addition, on October 11, 2024, the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, Michael S. Rodriguez, and Professor Michael Goh visited Abai KazNPU. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for collaboration in areas such as pedagogy, inclusive education, educational psychology, and other related disciplines. Ideas for joint projects and research in the field of special education and advanced technologies were also proposed.
