Seminar "Methodology of testology"

In order to organize the winter session of the 2024-2025 academic year, on October 18, a training seminar "Methodology of testology" was held for developers and experts in general education subjects.

The seminar was conducted by the head of the Testing Center, A. Z. Smagulova. Developers and experts explained the various forms of test tasks, that is, alternative and several correct answers and contextual test tasks designed to select one correct answer.

During the seminar, the participants shared their thoughts and provided feedback. The specifications of the tests were discussed in detail depending on the subjects for which the test tasks are compiled. Developers and experts expressed interest, emphasizing the effectiveness of the new testing methodology. In order to further improve the methodology of the test, the activity of the participants showed the effective completion of the seminar. During the seminar, the participants discussed new areas of test preparation methodology and approaches to improving the quality of test tasks. The head of the test center gave specific examples of the structure, content of the test tasks and their compliance with state educational standards, explained all stages of the test preparation process. The participants raised questions about the difficulties they face in developing test tasks and ways to solve them. The effectiveness of multiple choice tests and their role in developing students` thinking were especially hotly discussed. The developers and experts expressed confidence that the new methodology will have a positive impact on the testing process, and expressed their intention to contribute to the further development of the methodology for building tests.
